David Desandro constructed a typeface called Curtis entirely out of CSS. It’s an interesting process, reminiscent somewhat of Fontstruct but entirely manual. Using the ‘Inspect’ view he provides, you can see the building blocks he used to create them. Really great stuff.

Extremely frustrated with carrying around a heap of plastic, cash and a bulky wallet and just loving my iPhone; I quickly mocked up what an RFID enabled iPhone Payment app would look like. Obviously, one could do a lot better and integrate a nice “Receipts” tab inside the app, but I think this is a first step in the right direction.

All I want to do is take out my iPhone, swipe the thing, enter my PIN and complete the transaction. RFID is an awesome proven technology, that allows you to do just that and would be great on a next-gen iPhone. Please Apple help me kill my wallet!

Grab the individual pics here and here. Want RFID payments on your iPhone? Retweet this post.

This looks like an really awesome concept and would love to see this type of technology implemented into the iPhone at some point.

Named after Oxford’s Clarendon Press, the popular slab-serif was created in 1845 by Robert Besley for the Fann Street Foundry. Notable as one of the last new developments in nineteenth century typography, the letterforms represented a significant change from the slab-serif Antiques and Egyptians that were so popular in that time.

Facebook 3.0 iPhone app gets a redesign: The new app changes up the interface in its latest jump from v. 2.5. According to the app’s facebook wall, it was just sent to Apple for review on 8/16, so we’ll see how long it takes to make its way to iTunes.
