New LittleSnapper bookmarklet makes it easier to capture websites

finermac:

LittleSnapper, Realmac Software’s tool that lets designers and web developers collect, edit, and share photos and website inspiration, now has a bookmarklet. It lets you automatically launch LittleSnapper to capture the current webpage, and it has a special trick when browsing LittleSnapper’s companion web service, Ember.

If you’re viewing a shared web snap at Ember, using the bookmarklet will tell LittleSnapper to launch and capture its own version of the website being shared, not the Ember page you’re viewing. Slick.

SpriteMe

matthewb:

A very clever bookmarklet by Steve Souders that examines the background images on a page and automatically generates CSS sprites (and recomputes all background positions!) based on how the images are used in the page, and grouping by size. The interface displays a running tally of the number of HTTP requests saved as well as the reduction in filesize. My only (very minor) complaint is the manual work required to fold the changes back into the source CSS files, but this is genius. (via Tim Dawson)
