An awesome CSS easing tool by @matthewlein that uses the classic @robpenner easing equations. (via cameronmoll)
I meant to post this while back but now is a good time as any. This nettuts article goes over the 30 CSS Selectors that your must know as a web developer.
A very clever bookmarklet by Steve Souders that examines the background images on a page and automatically generates CSS sprites (and recomputes all background positions!) based on how the images are used in the page, and grouping by size. The interface displays a running tally of the number of HTTP requests saved as well as the reduction in filesize. My only (very minor) complaint is the manual work required to fold the changes back into the source CSS files, but this is genius. (via Tim Dawson)
Lets hope so. This offers server administrators the ability to upgrade their entire network to IE8.
David Desandro constructed a typeface called Curtis entirely out of CSS. It’s an interesting process, reminiscent somewhat of Fontstruct but entirely manual. Using the ‘Inspect’ view he provides, you can see the building blocks he used to create them. Really great stuff.
Charles Ying has created a beautiful demo of CSS effects being applied to video and shares some insight into the methods he used.
Zeldman gives a brief look into the current state of web fonts along with some links for further reading. I’ve found Font Squirrel (via Matthew Buchanan) to be another nice resource for finding @font-face friendly fonts. In my forthcoming design of Mighty Dream, I’m using Museo Sans for headings and a little bit of Junction.
A new answer to the IE6 question? (via Jeffrey Zeldman)
